Is it permissible for a wife to seek divorce if her husband takes her salary against her will, prevents her from visiting her family, frequently insults and beats her, and does not provide for her, which has led to the loss of mutual respect between them?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to revile another Muslim or to take his money without his consent, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Reviling a Muslim is a transgression," and the saying of Allah Almighty: "And do not consume your properties among yourselves through falsehood." If the husband takes money, reviles, and beats without a legitimate reason, he must repent. She must also repent for leaving without his permission. The husband is not obliged to spend on private matters that are outside of the known expenses. Marital life requires patience, endurance, calm understanding, and meeting ill-treatment with forgiveness. The wife should help her husband with a portion of her salary to gain his affection, and he should honor her, treat her well, and help her maintain kinship ties.
