Is homosexuality an affliction or a punishment? Is it considered among the afflictions with which Allah tests His chosen servants? Is the inability to sexually satisfy one's wife due to a lack of attraction to women considered an injustice to her? Is it forbidden to shake hands with men, be alone with them, or love and befriend them?

This trial could be a test from Allah or a punishment for a sin. You should direct your efforts toward what benefits you and ward off what harms you, and protect yourself from falling into indecency, so that you may attain the reward of the patient. Allah's love for a people through their trials does not mean that every person afflicted with a trial is beloved to Him. Your sexual inability to satisfy your wife is not considered an injustice because a servant is not held accountable for what is beyond their capacity. A man's love for another man, their companionship, and shaking hands with him are permissible in principle, and become forbidden if there is a fear of temptation. It is necessary to advise those afflicted with sexual deviance and remind them of Allah. Scholars should not be accused of negligence, as the negligence might stem from the individual themselves. This matter is a trial, but it is impermissible to justify the act or surrender to it.
