The answer

It is sufficient for you to pour water over the roots of your hair until you are reasonably certain that it has reached them. If you pour water over your entire body, including your ears, your ghusl is valid and is not invalidated by not wiping your head or ears, or by doubt concerning that, as the obligation is to cover the entire body with water. As for starting by removing impurities and performing wudu first, that is commendable, but omitting it does not affect the validity of the ghusl. Not performing ghusl after janabah or menstruation does not affect the validity of fasting. The fast of one who is in a state of janabah or menstruation is valid, whether they intentionally omitted ghusl or forgot it.
