What is the ruling on a salary from a government job obtained through mediation, and is it forbidden to remain in it, and is it permissible to remain in it until another job is found?

It is permissible to obtain a government job through intercession (wāsiṭah) if the applicant is qualified for it and if no one more deserving than them is deprived of it. Otherwise, the intercession would be forbidden and an injustice. As for the salary from a job obtained through intercession, it is permissible if the employee performs their duties as required, even if the means of obtaining it were forbidden, with the obligation to repent from the deception.
