What is the ruling on delaying Fajr prayer until after sunrise, given that there is someone to wake me up, and is it permissible for me to pray it after sunrise, or should I not pray it on the grounds that it is one of the forbidden times for prayer?

Prayer is the pillar of Islam and the first thing a Muslim will be held accountable for. Whoever neglects or abandons it, Allah has promised them punishment. Allah Almighty said: "There succeeded them later generations who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil" and "So woe to those who pray [But] who are heedless of their prayer." It is obligatory to observe prayers at their prescribed times, especially the Fajr prayer. If you wake up after the prayer time has passed, you must make it up along with its ratibah (supererogatory prayer).
