Has the fate in the Hereafter of some creatures mentioned in the Holy Qur’an—such as Sulaiman’s hoopoe and the Dog of the People of the Cave—been mentioned, or is knowledge of that with Allah alone?

The texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah indicate that animals will be resurrected and gathered on the Day of Judgment for retribution, and then they will be told: "Be dust." Allah Almighty says: (And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register anything. Then to their Lord they will be gathered.) The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Rights will be restored to their owners on the Day of Judgment, even the hornless sheep will be retaliated for against the horned sheep." This ruling includes all animals mentioned in the Qur’an, such as the dog of the People of the Cave and Solomon's hoopoe.
