What is the fate of animals after death? Will they turn to dust on the Day of Resurrection, or is it possible for them to reunite with their owners in Paradise? Is it forbidden to grieve and weep over them or to wish for them in Paradise?

Animals die and will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection, as stated in His Almighty's sayings: "And when the wild beasts are gathered" and "There is no moving creature on earth nor a bird that flies with its two wings except that they are communities like you. We have not neglected anything in the Register. Then to their Lord they will be gathered." Animals enter the Barzakh period after their death, then turn into dust on the Day of Resurrection after Allah has settled accounts among them. There is no evidence prohibiting wishing to see animals in the Hereafter, for Allah grants the servant what he desires. And preoccupation with what will admit the servant to Paradise is more befitting.
