How can scientific facts, which state that the Earth revolves around itself, around the Sun, and with the galaxy, be reconciled with Allah's saying: "Indeed, Allah holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease to exist," which might be understood to mean that Allah prevents the Earth from moving out of its place?

The Quran does not contradict reality or established scientific facts. Some scholars have used the verse to argue against the rotation of the Earth and the heavens, while others have interpreted "zawal" (ceasing to exist/moving away) as a change of place. The conclusion is that the verse does not indicate the Earth's immobility, but rather Allah's power to hold it in place despite its movement and rotation, preventing it from disarray and collision, and making it stable for life.
