Is it true that there is a Quranic verse indicating the Earth's steadfastness and lack of movement?

There is nothing in the Qur’an or Sunnah that negates the Earth's rotation and movement. Citing verses such as: {It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement} to argue against its rotation is incorrect. The Earth's rotation is an astronomical issue, not a religious one, and it is wrong to force religious texts into it. One should excuse the scholars who made efforts in this regard and refrain from publicizing their specific opinions on this matter.
