The answer

There are authentic hadiths, authenticated by some scholars, indicating that the Quran will be lifted at the end of time, before the Hour (Day of Judgment) is established. At that time, only the worst of people will remain, and there will be no prayer, no fasting, and no Hajj. Thus, there will be no benefit in the Quran's presence, and Allah will decree its removal. Among these hadiths are: "Islam will wear out just as a garment wears out..." and "The Book of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, will be taken away in one night, and not a single verse of it will remain on Earth. And there will remain groups of people who will say: 'We found our forefathers saying 'La ilaha illa Allah' (there is no god but Allah), so we say it.'" Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated from Ibn Mas'ud his saying: "Indeed, this Quran is about to be taken away from you. It will be taken away in one night, removed from hearts and what is in the Mushafs (copies of the Quran) will disappear." Then he recited: ﴿And if We willed, We could surely take away that which We have revealed to you﴾ [Al-Isra: 86]. As for the tribulations at the end of time, they are numerous, the most dangerous of which are the tribulation of the Dajjal (Antichrist) and Gog and Magog, and the wars that will occur before that.
