What is the virtue of seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) and giving charity (Sadaqah) in this world and the Hereafter, and is a monthly donation of 50 riyals from a 6000 riyal salary considered acceptable charity if sent to a benevolent society due to not knowing the poor?

Seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) holds great virtue and immense reward in this world and the Hereafter. Allah grants those who seek forgiveness victory, honor, and a good reputation in this world, and everlasting bliss in the Hereafter. For whoever consistently seeks forgiveness, Allah will grant them relief from every worry, a way out of every difficulty, and provide for them from where they do not expect. The master of seeking forgiveness (Sayyid al-Istighfar) is: "O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me, and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for indeed, none forgives sins except You."

As for the virtue of charity (Sadaqa), the example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain which grows seven ears, in each ear a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills. Charity grows in the Hand of the Most Merciful until it becomes greater than a mountain. And any charity, no matter how small, Allah multiplies its reward. A monthly charity of fifty riyals is considered a great charity.
