Will a person who died by strangulation or burning, or in a desert and was not buried, be tormented in the grave? Or one who died and whose body was not found, such as a drowned person or a burnt person whose body completely disintegrated? Or one whose body was consumed by birds and animals? And what is the ruling if their body is found thereafter?

The grave is anything that contains the body of the deceased after their death. It is obligatory to believe that the torment of the grave is the torment of the Barzakh (interim period), and it reaches the one who deserves it, whether they are buried or not. So, if their body is eaten by wild animals, or burned, or drowned, the torment that reaches the buried will also reach their soul and body. This torment and bliss are dispensed by Allah as He wills, and the elements of the world submit to Him. The manner in which the torment reaches them is beyond the comprehension of minds, so we must believe and submit to it, and not discuss its how; because we have no experience of it in this world.
