What is the ruling on birth control for medical reasons, such as fetal deformities and recurrent infant deaths, especially when the wife suffers from chronic anemia and "possession by jinn," and there is consanguinity between the spouses?

It is not permissible to terminate a pregnancy permanently unless it poses a real danger to the woman's life or she is suffering unbearable hardship and pain, and there is no other way to temporarily prevent pregnancy.

If there is a strong presumption of a deformity in the offspring, there is no harm in temporarily preventing conception by coitus interruptus, condoms, or birth control pills, and then seeking treatment.

To treat "al-tabi'ah" (a type of spiritual affliction) or if there is a strong presumption of its presence, ruqyah ash-shar'iyyah (Islamic incantation) is recommended by reciting Surat Al-Baqarah, especially its last two verses, repeating Ayatul-Kursi, and reciting Al-Ikhlas and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas) three times every morning and evening, and maintaining regular remembrance of Allah (dhikr).

It is also recommended to continue with ruqyah ash-shar'iyyah, with the possibility of seeking help from a trustworthy Muslim psychiatrist, and using permissible medicinal means such as drinking Zamzam water, using black seed (Nigella sativa), and anointing with its oil.
