The answer

A woman is permitted to stop conceiving and to use contraceptives if pregnancy causes her illnesses that prevent her from praying, enjoying her husband, and caring for her children. This is in accordance with the Prophet’s — peace and blessings be upon him — allowance of coitus interruptus (al-ʿazl). If a woman is unable to perform ablution (wudu) or dry ablution (tayammum), she should delegate someone to perform it for her, and she should pray according to her ability: standing, sitting, or lying on her side, based on the Prophet’s — peace and blessings be upon him — saying to 'Imran ibn Husayn, and "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity."
