How authentic is the Hadith: "Walk a mile, visit the sick; walk two miles, reconcile two people; walk three miles, visit a brother for the sake of Allah"?

This Hadith, as narrated from the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has a weak chain of transmission. However, it has been authentically narrated from some of the Tabi'un (followers).

From the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: It was narrated from Abu Umamah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "(Walk) a mile to visit the sick, walk two miles to reconcile between two people, walk three (miles) to visit a brother for the sake of Allah." Narrated by Ibn 'Adi, and its chain of transmission is very weak.

What is authentic from the Tabi'un: 1. From Makhul: Narrated by Ibn Wahb, and narrated by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya with a good chain of transmission if Shu'ayb is Ibn Harb. 2. From 'Ata' Al-Khurasani: Narrated by Ibn Wahb with an authentic chain of transmission. 3. From Hassan bin 'Atiyyah: Narrated by Hannad bin Al-Sari with an authentic chain of transmission.

The meaning of the Hadith is to encourage visiting the sick, reconciling between disputing parties, and visiting a brother for the sake of Allah, and that the virtue increases as the distance and hardship increase.
