Is the feeling of ill-fortune and the continuous incompletion of matters, despite being keen on pleasing Allah and following the guidance of the Prophet, a sign of Allah's wrath, or His dislike for one's obedience, or merely a trial, and what should be done about it?

Loving Allah necessitates having a good opinion of Him, and your optimism despite tribulation is a good thing. So, continue to make supplications that meet the conditions and etiquettes, for Allah does not disappoint the one who hopes in Him. The delay in answering a supplication does not mean non-response or the existence of a sin; rather, it may be a trial or for a divine wisdom. So, continue in supplication and acts of obedience, and do not pay attention to satanic whisperings that call for having a bad opinion of Allah.
