What is the ruling on insulting Allah and what is its expiation? And are the repentance and worship of its perpetrator accepted?

Indeed, insulting Allah Almighty, or mocking Him, His verses, or His messengers, is an act of disbelief that expels one from Islam, by scholarly consensus. Despite the gravity of this sin, the door of repentance is open for whoever regrets and wishes to return. Allah Almighty says: (Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.") And it is incumbent upon the perpetrator of this sin to offer sincere repentance, express remorse, and increase in righteous deeds.
