Insulting Allah the Almighty is an act of disbelief that expels one from the fold of Islam, by the consensus of Muslims. However, if one's tongue slips and utters an insult to Allah the Almighty unintentionally, then there is no blame upon him; this is based on the Almighty's saying: "And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred, but [only for] what your hearts intended," and on His saying: "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake." And Allah has said: "I have done so."
