What is the last time for prayer, and does delaying prayer differ from its time expiring for the worshiper, and what is the punishment for each?

Missing the prayer time means leaving it until its time expires without a valid excuse, and this is among the major sins. As for delaying the prayer, it refers to two meanings: the first is the expiration of its time, and the second is delaying it until the end of its time, which is permissible. It is preferable to perform the prayer at the beginning of its time, with the exception of the 'Isha and Dhuhr prayers during intense heat, in which case it is sunnah to delay them. Delaying is also sunnah if it leads to achieving congregational prayer.
