What deed deprives a person of Paradise?

What deprives a person of Paradise is dying in a state of disbelief (kufr), as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who disbelieved and died while they were disbelievers - never will there be accepted from any of them an amount of gold filling the earth, even if he were to offer it in ransom. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers." (Aal 'Imran: 91) And His saying: "Indeed, those who denied Our verses and were arrogant toward them - never will the gates of the Heaven be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals." (Al-A'raf: 40). As for other sins and transgressions, their perpetrator's ultimate destination is Paradise if they die upon monotheism (Tawhid), even if they are punished in the Fire for a period, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise and the people of Hell have entered Hell, Allah Almighty will say: 'Whoever has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of faith, bring him out.'"
