Should I fast for two consecutive months and pay Diyyah (blood money) because of an accident that led to the death of a person in front of me?

If the accident occurred without negligence on the part of the person, then there is no guarantee or expiation required of him. However, if it happened due to unintentional negligence or oversight, then expiation is required (freeing a believing slave or fasting for two consecutive months) and blood money (Diyah) for the heirs of the deceased, which is borne by the 'Aqilah (male agnates of the killer).
