The question

Is it permissible to move a deceased person's grave to his home country to avoid the grave being exhumed and his bones scattered after a few years, and is it permissible to exhume the grave to adjust the deceased's position towards the Qibla by 30 degrees if he was buried not facing it correctly, knowing that there is no niche (lahd) in the grave?

The answer

It is forbidden to exhume a grave unless there is a legitimate Shariah reason, such as being certain that the deceased has decomposed into dust, or if the deceased is being harmed by remaining in their place, or if the deceased was buried facing a direction other than the Qiblah, in which case the grave is exhumed to reorient the body towards it, as long as the body has not decomposed. A slight deviation from the Qiblah does not necessitate exhuming the grave.
