The question

What should one who suffers from drops of urine exiting after relieving himself, which continues for a short period, do if he wakes up and goes out at the time of prayer, then relieves himself; does he wait until the urine stops, or does he pray in his current state?

The answer

We have previously clarified in earlier fatwas what a person afflicted with urinary incontinence ( سلس البول) must do: he should wait for the leakage of urine droplets to stop, then perform ablution (وضوء) and pray with a valid state of ritual purity (طهارة صحيحة). If he wakes up and the prayer time has already expired, he must wait until the urine leakage stops, then perform ablution and pray.
