Does interpreting verse 34 of Surat An-Nur ("Allah is the Light of the heavens...") as a light that illuminates despite ignorance of its interpretation constitute disbelief and apostasy, necessitating the re-pronouncement of the Two Testimonies?

"Light" (نور) linguistically means radiance. It is permissible to apply the name "the Light" to Allah the Almighty as a form of praise, because He brought into existence illuminated things and their lights. The meaning of the verse: ﴿Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth﴾ [An-Nur:35] is that He, the Exalted, made them radiant through the uprightness of their inhabitants' affairs and the perfection of His management.

It is forbidden for a Muslim to interpret the words of Allah without knowledge, because it is speaking about Allah without knowledge, and it is among the forbidden acts, as stated in His saying: ﴿Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know."﴾ [Al-A'raf:33].
