Is it permissible for a woman to travel with her daughter without a mahram to visit her husband's father for his granddaughter?

A woman is not permitted to travel except with her husband or a mahram. The presence of a trustworthy female companion does not make such travel permissible according to the majority of jurists, in contrast to Ibn Taymiyyah, who allowed it for a woman undertaking a journey of obedience if she was safe. There is no disobedience to his father in a man traveling for work while his wife and daughter reside with him, and a woman is not permitted to travel without a mahram.
