What is the ruling on washing the testicles along with the penis, or the labia along with the vulva, when pre-seminal fluid is discharged, and what is the method for purifying clothes from the impurity of menstrual blood or other impurities, with evidence?
The preponderant view is that only the area of the madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) on the male organ or the testicles needs to be washed, and it is not obligatory to wash them completely if they are not contaminated with it. This is supported by the hadith of Sahl ibn Hunayf and Ali, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Only wudu' is sufficient for that," and "From madhiy is wudu'." The command to wash the male organ in some ahadith is for recommendation or refers to the spot affected by the madhiy. As for washing other impurities, such as menstrual blood, they must be washed until their substance, color, and taste are removed, with the exception of the impurity of dogs and pigs, which must be washed seven times, one of them with earth.
