What is the ruling regarding prayers performed with incorrect methods of ghusl for janabah or mathy, in cases of ignorance about the correct method?

The obligation in ghusl al-janabah (ritual bath following seminal discharge or sexual intercourse) is to spread water over the entire outer surface of the body with the intention. If you douse your entire body with water, your ghusl is valid and there is nothing against you. However, if you leave parts of your body without water reaching them, your ghusl is incomplete, and the prayers you performed with it are invalid according to the majority of scholars and must be made up. Touching the penis without a barrier invalidates wudu' (ablution). As for madhy (pre-seminal fluid), it invalidates wudu' but does not necessitate ghusl. If you perform ghusl for it, your ghusl is not obligatory, and there is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding its sufficiency for wudu'. You are permitted to follow the opinion of those who say it is sufficient.
