When was the verse revealed: "The foolish among the people will say: 'What has turned them away from their Qiblah which they used to face'?"

The aforementioned verse is from Medina, and it was revealed regarding the changing of the Qibla (definition) from Jerusalem to the Kaaba in the middle of the month of Rajab, in the second year of the Hijra, according to the more accurate opinion. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to pray towards Jerusalem, and he wished that his Qibla would be turned towards the Sacred House. After the Qibla was changed, the Muslims inquired about their previous prayers, and the verses were revealed to clarify that Allah would not let their faith go to waste, and that the foolish among people (the Jews) would object to this change.
