Is the division among Salafis and their excommunication of one another, and the resulting infighting, an indication that Salafis are not upon the truth? And is it obligatory to reconsider affiliation with the Salafi methodology? Or is this a time for isolating oneself from people and weeping over sin?

Muslims must have a general belief in the constants from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and consensus, such as believing that Allah has the Most Beautiful Names and the Most High Attributes, and that there is nothing like unto Him, without delving into details. There is no basis for attributing to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab the question of asking Allah to make his faith like that of old women; rather, its meaning was narrated from Imam al-Juwayni. It is commendable and desirable for non-specialists to delve deeply into Islamic sciences, and seeking knowledge is an act of worship. The claim that Salafis excommunicate each other is incorrect, as one of the characteristics of the Salafi methodology is to avert disbelief with the slightest doubt and to excuse the one who differs. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If two Muslims confront each other with their swords, both the killer and the killed will be in the Hellfire." This means they deserve to enter the Fire, but the ultimate outcome for disobedient monotheists who died upon monotheism is to exit from it. The Saved Sect and the Victorious Group are the People of the Sunnah and the Community (Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah). A Muslim who is sincere to himself strives to realize the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah, and we do not believe that we are in a time when anyone can be saved except by withdrawing from people.
