Is ghusl obligatory for one who touches and embraces the deceased after death?

The mother of the deceased is not required to purify herself by performing ablution (wudu) or ritual bathing (ghusl), nor is she required to wash the parts of her body that touched the deceased. The Sunnah for one who washes a deceased person is to perform ghusl, and for one who carries a deceased person, it is to perform wudu.
