Are noble verses such as: {For indeed, Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills} absolute? And does it mean that a person's striving for good may not prevent their deviation? And why were there no explicit verses mentioned in the Holy Quran indicating that Allah guides whoever strives for good? And when does Allah will to guide a servant? And how can a believer feel at ease when reading these verses?

Allah Almighty is the One who guides or misguides, but it is incorrect to say that one who strives for good is necessarily misguided. Rather, the servant's striving and diligence in seeking guidance and acting upon what he has learned are means for his steadfastness and increase in guidance, as stated in the Holy Quran. Among the means of steadfastness are supplication, companionship with the righteous, attending gatherings of knowledge, inviting others [to Islam], and engaging in righteous deeds. Allah may punish whom He wills with misguidance, just as He rewards the obedient with guidance. Acting in accordance with knowledge strengthens it, while contradicting it weakens it. And whoever turns away from the truth, following his desires, inherits ignorance and misguidance.
