Is it permissible to marry a foreign Christian woman through an 'urfi (customary) marriage, with the intention of later formalizing it, knowing that she is not a virgin and is willing to convert to Islam? Is the consent of the family a prerequisite for this? And what is the interpretation of the verse: {The fornicating woman—none shall marry her except a fornicator or a polytheist}?

For a legitimate marriage, there are conditions and pillars for the validity of the contract. The consent of the parents is not required for a mature, sane adult, unless their objection is valid. The consent of the woman's guardian is sufficient for the direct conclusion of the contract or for commissioning someone to act on his behalf. It is permissible to marry a Christian woman under specific conditions, but these are rarely met today. If the girl is not chaste (her virginity was lost outside of marriage), it is not permissible to marry her unless she refrains from indecencies and commits to chastity. The interpretation of the verse has been previously given: "The fornicator does not marry except a fornicator or a polytheist, and none marries the fornicator except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been forbidden to the believers."
