Is cosmetic surgery permissible or forbidden in the event of suffering from social problems due to a large nose, long smile, and prominent facial bones?

A specific ruling cannot be definitively issued regarding the inquirer, but the general rule concerning cosmetic surgeries is that what is forbidden among them is that which seeks to increase beauty and attractiveness, as opposed to that which aims to remove harm or treat a defect, for there is no objection to this. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has clarified that cosmetic surgery is permissible under Islamic law if it is necessary or needed, and aims to restore the original shape or function of body organs, or to correct congenital defects, or acquired defects, or to remove a disfigurement that causes psychological or physical harm.
