Could you please clarify the medical benefits of female circumcision?

Female circumcision is one of the Sunan al-Fitra (practices inherent to human nature). The correct view is that it is mustahabb (recommended) but not wajib (obligatory). It has several medical benefits, including: eliminating unpleasant secretions, reducing excessive clitoral sensitivity, preventing irritation, and preventing extreme arousal. Sexual frigidity only results if there is a complete excision of the clitoris, which is forbidden by Islamic law.
