Is it permissible to attach "snaps" to secure the Ihram and make it easier to wear, knowing that they are pressed on without sewing?

It is not permissible for a pilgrim in a state of ihram (definition) to wear sewn garments or anything that resembles them. It is also not permissible for a pilgrim in a state of ihram to make the izar (lower garment), rida' (upper garment), or similar items into an izar or a loop, or to fasten them with a thorn, needle, or thread. Whoever does so without need has sinned and must offer a fidyah (definition) (expiatory offering). As for the buttons (or snap fasteners), it is not permissible for a pilgrim in a state of ihram to use them except when there is a need to secure and tighten the ihram garments, and their use should be limited to the extent of that need.
