What is the ruling and expiation for breaking the Ramadan fast by engaging in sexual intercourse during the day, given that the first day this occurred was out of ignorance of the ruling, and subsequent occurrences were due to coercion, bearing in mind the inability to fast for two months?

Sexual intercourse during the daytime in Ramadan invalidates the fast and necessitates repentance, making up the missed fast (qada'), and expiation (kaffara). This (kaffara) is incumbent upon the woman if she was compliant and not coerced. As for a coerced woman, she is only required to make up the fast. Ignorance of the obligation of expiation or that sexual intercourse invalidates the fast does not waive it according to the majority of scholars, unless this occurs in a country where ignorance prevails and this ruling is obscure. The expiation is in sequence: freeing a slave, if none is found then fasting for two consecutive months, and if unable to do so then feeding sixty poor people.
