Is the supplication mentioned in the question, which is not found in the collections of Sunnah, and concerning which your fatwa urged contentment with the authentic supplications narrated from the Messenger, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, considered among the supplications that contravene Islamic law and originate from the people of innovation?

The aforementioned supplication should not be attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, except with proof, and no origin for it with this wording has been found. There is no impediment to supplicating with it as a mere supplication, as long as it does not contradict Islamic law. Its presence on the websites of innovators does not make it a Marfu' Hadith, and it is not permissible to attribute a statement to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, except with a connected chain of transmission and trustworthy narrators. "Whoever intentionally lies about me, let him take his seat in Hellfire." The Hadith appears to show signs of weakness due to its inclusion of abundant reward for a small deed. It is not possible to judge its authenticity, weakness, or fabrication except by examining its chain of narration, its narrators, and its scholarly verification.
