The answer

Among the signs of Allah's acceptance and pleasure with a servant is His enabling them to obey and to do what brings them closer to Him, and their being characterized by piety. Thus, Allah does not see them where He has forbidden them, nor does He find them absent where He has commanded them. If a servant is pious, fulfilling Allah's commands and abstaining from His prohibitions, this is evidence of their Lord's pleasure with them and His acceptance of their deeds, in affirmation of His (the Most High's) saying: ﴿Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him].﴾ [Al-Ma'idah: 27]. Furthermore, the performance of acts of obedience yields piety. And whoever's prayer or fasting does not restrain them from indecency and evil, let them examine these acts, for that is an indication of a defect or deficiency.
