What are the signs of Allah's love for a servant, and what should one do to attain the highest degrees of Allah's love?
The most prominent sign of Allah Almighty's love for a servant is His granting them success in following the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, confirming His saying: (Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah, then follow me, so Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.") The servant also ascends in the degrees of Allah Almighty's love by adhering to the Book of Allah and the of His Messenger, peace be upon him, intending the Face of Allah and the Hereafter, and fulfilling the purpose for which they were created, which is to worship their Lord.
