The answer

It is not permissible to exhume a grave or open it without an urgent necessity, because the sanctity of a Muslim, alive or dead, is one and the same. Breaking the bone of a deceased person is like breaking the bone of a living person. As for photographing with a camera, it involves prohibitions such as spying on those in the graves, harming the living, and the prohibition against mentioning the bad state of the deceased. If the washer sees something he likes about the deceased, it is for him to speak of it; but if he sees something he dislikes, it is forbidden for him to speak of it. A living Muslim must strive to guide the living and work to be saved from the torment of the grave and to have mercy on the Muslim dead.
