What was the method of compiling and writing the Holy Quran, and what were the reasons for Uthman's destruction of other codices, such as "the codex of Lady Hafsa and the codex of the noble Companion Abdullah ibn Mas'ud"? And are the Sana'a manuscripts authentic, and do their texts differ from the current Quran?

The collection of the Qur’an occurred three times: The first was during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, both in writing and memorization. The entire Qur’an was written and preserved in hearts, with its verses arranged. However, the Companions did not adhere to the arrangement of the surahs. The second time was during the era of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, out of fear that the Qur’an might be lost after many reciters were martyred in the Wars of Apostasy. Zayd ibn Thabit collected it, relying on what had been written in the presence of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and what was preserved in the hearts of men. The third time was during the era of Uthman ibn Affan, due to the Muslims' differences in readings. Uthman then had several unified copies of the Qur'an transcribed and sent them to the various regions, burning all other copies to resolve the dispute. He intended for these copies to encompass the seven ahruf (readings).
