What is the authenticity of the following Hadith Qudsi: "O My servant, I am with you; if they shun you, then I am your beloved; and if they hurt you, then I am your physician"?
The aforementioned Hadith has no basis, and it is not permissible to spread it or attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, for he said: «Whoever intentionally fabricates a lie against me, let him occupy his seat in Hellfire», and «Whoever narrates a Hadith from me, knowing it to be a lie, is one of the liars.» Authentic Hadiths have been narrated indicating that Allah is with His believing servant, among them His saying: «I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me.» And authentic Hadiths have been confirmed indicating Allah Almighty's love for His believing servant, among them His saying: «My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory acts until I love him.» It has also been mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah that Allah is the Healer.
