What is the criterion for doubt that leads one out of the fold of Islam? Is doubt concerning the fundamental matters of religion, such as the existence of the Creator and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him), or doubt as to whether an action or statement constitutes mockery of religion, considered disbelief (kufr)? What is the ruling on praying without performing ghusl (ritual bath) after uttering the Two Testimonies of Faith as a precautionary measure?

One must praise Allah for the lightness of the whispers (waswas), and frequently supplicate for their removal. The dislike of satanic whispers is a sign of sound belief, and disbelief does not occur through whispers as long as the person dislikes them. The one experiencing whispers does not need to recite the Shahadah as a precaution, and their prayers are valid. One must disregard whispers and not dwell on them. Apostasy does not occur as long as the person shuns these whispers. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the presence of these whispers in the soul and he said: "That is pure faith," because their magnification and dislike is a proof of faith, for they are like striving against an enemy. It is recommended to seek consultation with a psychiatrist, engage in beneficial matters, and seek Allah’s help.
