What is the cure for intense jealousy, envy, wishing ill upon those who surpass one in obedience, and the desire to be the best and for God to not love anyone more than oneself?

The treatment we recommend is for envy (hasad). If you are keen on God loving you, then you must pursue the means to achieve that. Among the greatest means is love for the sake of God Almighty. Thus, whoever obeys God, you should love them. We also advise you to read the fatwas in which we mentioned ways to overcome obsessive whispers (waswas).
