Is a woman entitled to seek divorce from her husband who beats her and breaks furniture due to his excessive anger, even though he loves her and does not fall short in providing for her needs and the needs of their children?

If the husband treats his wife poorly and beats her without justification, the wife has the right to seek a divorce due to harm. Al-Dardir mentioned that the wife has the right to be divorced from her husband due to harm, which is anything not permissible by Sharia, such as abandoning her without a legal reason, or beating and insulting her. Nevertheless, it is advisable to try and reform the husband by reminding him of Allah and His punishment, explaining what Allah has obligated upon him regarding living together with kindness, encouraging him to associate with righteous people and attend scholarly gatherings, and praying for his guidance. If he does not reform, she should weigh the option of staying with him against leaving him, choosing the lesser of the two harms.
