Do the People of the Book enter Paradise by good deeds and good morals despite their disbelief in Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Only a Muslim will enter Paradise. Whoever follows a methodology other than Islam is a loser, in fulfillment of the Almighty's saying: ﴿Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam,﴾ and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: «By Him in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no one from among this nation, be he a Jew or a Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in that with which I have been sent, but he will be among the dwellers of the Hellfire.» The humbling of Muslims before disbelievers is not permissible, because it leads to the humiliation of the Muslim and the glorification of the disbeliever, whereas repentance from such an act is obligatory. Justifying one's adherence to Islam by imitating one's forefathers is a mistake, because an intelligent person must seek the truth and scrutinize what they have inherited. Similarly, believing that Muslims will be rewarded better than the People of the Book is a mistake, because the People of the Book are not on the right path.
