What is the value of the obligatory Zakat on an amount of fifty thousand Qatari Riyals that has completed a full year (hawl), and is Zakat paid from the principal amount or from the monthly income?

The obligatory zakat on savings is a quarter of a tenth (2.5%). The nisab is estimated at the equivalent value of 85 grams of gold or 595 grams of silver. Accordingly, 1250 Qatari Riyals must be paid as zakat on this money, and it is permissible to pay it from the savings or from the monthly salary.
