What is the ruling on working in content creation for mobile phone SMS services—such as horoscopes, jokes, songs, supplications, and prophetic hadiths—if the company aims for financial profit from these paid services, knowing that the worker is an expatriate and cannot easily refuse part of the work or leave the current job?

It is not permissible to work in sending messages related to horoscopes, immoral or musical songs, jokes, and the like, which are of no benefit, due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." If you are unable to limit your work to what is permissible and refrain from what is unlawful, you must leave it immediately, unless you are forced to stay in it such that you cannot find food or clothing. In this case, you may remain until you find another job that alleviates the necessity. It is permissible to benefit from the income of this work only to the extent that it was in return for permissible work. Whatever remains should be spent on the welfare of Muslims.
