What is the ruling on borrowing with interest from banks out of necessity, to avoid asking people and the embarrassment that entails?

Borrowing with interest is forbidden by Islamic law, except in cases of dire necessity where the individual reaches the brink of destruction or is close to it, or falls into excessive hardship that is difficult to bear. Mere embarrassment does not constitute necessity.
