The answer

It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to engage in extensive conversation with non-mahram men. Rather, she should limit herself to what is strictly necessary and beware of speaking in a soft or alluring manner, lest those with diseased hearts become covetous of her, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: (So do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech). Engaging in conversation with non-mahram men merely out of desire is a sin that must be avoided. The questioner is advised to fear Allah and to avoid mixing with non-mahram men and speaking with them without necessity. If she needs to, she should delegate someone else, to protect herself in times of trials, and seek Allah's help. The Almighty said: (And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him from his matter ease).
